Egyptian Trade and Industry launches digital services for the Standardization and Quality Authority on its website

Within the framework of the state’s general policy directions towards digital transformation, application of governance, and facilitation of services provided to the industrial and commercial sectors, Mrs. Nevin Jameh, Minister of Trade and Industry, agreed to launch 12 mechanized services for the Specifications and Quality Authority on the Ministry’s electronic portal.

Eng. Osama Fahmy, Head of the Ministry of Information Systems and Technology and Digital Transformation Sector at the Ministry stated that the services that have been mechanized and made available electronically include obtaining the Egyptian halal mark and the Egyptian conformity mark and the Egyptian conformity certificate and the approval of the basic model and examination of trailers and the study of steam boiler documents, noting that the services also include requesting a statement of the latest Publications from the Egyptian and international standards, participation in conferences and seminars organized by the Standards and Quality Authority, registration of establishments holding international quality systems, in addition to the registration of donors for quality system certificates International application training within the Authority as well as the sale of Egyptian specifications.

He pointed out that the experimental operation of the services has been started electronically and has been successfully tested, pointing out that all services are automated from the first service request through electronic payment to obtaining the service.

Fahmy explained that the Ministry of Information Systems and Technology and the digital transformation sector will launch a mechanism to track customer requests in different departments within the Standards and Quality Authority to ensure the speed and effectiveness of providing services electronically, indicating that a guide will be issued to obtain each of the 12 services and make them available on the website of the Authority Specifications and quality in order to facilitate the requesting customers.
