Because of the outbreak of the Corona virus around the country, major shopping centers in Thailand have started to transfer more of their business to be ONLINE.

Central, the largest shopping center in Thailand, has issued a statement, reminding customers that it provides also online services, after the government's decisions to close all commercial centers, restaurants, schools and other commercial establishments in Bangkok for a period of three weeks, to reduce the outbreak of the Corona virus.

"We understand the concerns of our customers, the need for social distancing and the avoidance of public spaces," said Joel Bukasubi, CEO of the Central Centers chain.

Since the outbreak, the group's business has increased by 90%, said Sudhitham Sherathivat, director of the advisory body to the Central Group.

But the virus threatens the outlook for the entire Thai economy.

Analysts had cut their growth forecasts from one to two percent to negative numbers.

At least four airlines have suspended their flight, which means no tourists will come.

Thai. Tourism Minister Pipat Ratchaprakarn said last week that in the worst case scenario, which is the continued outbreak of the virus until the end of the year, Thailand could lose about 30 million tourists compared to last year.
